You may know my love of vintage and my love of cartoons and really it’s all because I love the idea of daydreaming in a colorful imaginary world. I love the way that art can make fiticious things seem so real and beautiful. This is why this Wednesday I wish I was Tatsuro Kiuchi. I’ve literally been daydreaming about his work since being featured on Design Work Life. His art makes all these imaginary thoughts come to life in an even more colorful and beautiful way than I could daydream up.
Tatsuro Kiuchi was born in Toyko and was originally a Biology major. He made the career switch when he decided to go to the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He started by illustrating children’s books like The Lotus Seed and has since written his own book and branched off. See some links below to his portfolio and online shops that carry his prints.
Do you like art that whisks you off to imaginary places?
