{Loved & Noted} DIY Outdoor Candle Stakes, Embossed Napkins, & Colorful Bamboo Plates

Eating outdoors is seriously one of summer’s best pleasures, so naturally entertaining outdoors is alway a great idea! Especially with fun DIY elements! How pretty are those outdoor candle stakes by A Subtle Revelry. I never wanted an embosser more than after seeing those DIY embossed napkins. Fun designs and colors can be painted on bamboo plates to match any theme with The Flair Exchange’s tutorial.

The {Loved & Noted} series touches on inspiration from creatives and fellow bloggers all over the world.

{Lust List} Smell The Roses

With Spring in full swing, I’ve been looking through plant and flower catalogs to find a way to personalize our yard. One thing I’m really excited about is introducing fragrant flowers. Since I’m often indecisive, I’ll have to opt for these lovely Diptyque candles (£40-55) in perfect floral scents from www.urbanretreat.co.uk until I decide. On the plus side, these can be enjoyed while relaxing inside since our Springs here are quite rainy.

Which fragrance is your favorite?

{Collecting Rainbows} A Year Of Candles

These candles are perfect for the start of a new year. I love the idea of focusing on one virtue a month and burning a beautifully colorful candle to remind ourselves. Like our Month of Thanks. The cute thing about these Year of Candles ($90) is that once the candle is through burning, a little pocket charm is revealed to remind you for the rest of the year. How cute is that!

What virtue would you focus on first?

So, today’s post is all about this chilly and pale yet beautiful color.

Daydream In Birch

Birch Branch Wall Hooks ($12/2) | Birch Shadows Tapestry ($230) | Birch Bark Straws ($8) | Birch Bark Strips ($10) | Blue Birch Wrapping Paper ($12) | Birch Necklace ($130) | Birch Cup | Birch Votive Holder ($38) | Woods Wallpaper ($198) | Birch Storage Boxes ($30/4)

This may seem like a totally random thing to daydream about, but A and I just decided on a theme for the powder room last week. Snow white. We were inspired by our recent addiction to the show Once Upon A Time and the mayor/evil queen’s office. Since our decision, A and I chose a glossy espresso stain for the cabinets. My best friend visited Sunday and with her motivation, we started staining (it’s our first project and I was/am super nervous!). It’s been a slow process because of the drying between coats, but we’re loving how it’s coming along. Just three more coats on the cabinet door fronts! It’s definitely a lot more modern. We started searching for the perfect tree/birch wallpaper (there are lots), and suddenly I started noticing birch and its pretty snow white branches everywhere. I wanted to share with you because it’s perfect for white and woodsy holiday decor too.

Do you like the look of birch? Have you started any home improvement projects lately?
