{Collecting Rainbows} PINO Bow Ties & Handkerchiefs

Since A sported a bow tie for our wedding, I haven’t been able to get over them. These ones from PINO ($88) are some of the most colorful around. Plus, I love those handkerchief rounds ($58)! The contrasting edging makes for a special touch.

{Lust List} Entertaining In Color Part Two

Linens By The Roll ($22-42) | Rainbow Nesting Mixing Bowls ($65) | Over The Rainbow Cupcake Liners ($9) | Rainbow Paper Straws ($3.52) | Retro Polka Dot Coasters ($23/4)

I’ve long been fascinated by these linens on a roll, but now that warmer weather may be around the corner, I’m figuring out what colors to choose. I have a set of these Zak bowls and I love how lightweight they are. Pouring flour into the mixer is no big feat as it is sometimes with glass or porcelain. The other goodies can be bought and pulled out one color at a time if rainbow isn’t your thing!

{Collecting Rainbows} Sense & Nonsense Notebook

This Sense & Nonsense notebook is just what I need to jot down my soon to be garden notes. How cute are those rainbow ribbon bookmarks! We planted 4 fruit trees this weekend (pear, apple, cherry, and plum). They’re all semi-dwarfs with at least 3 different varieties grafted on so it’s self-pollinating. We kind of took over the lawn in parts of the yard, which A is nervous about, but once they start growing and we’re eating apples from our yard I think he’ll be convinced it’s awesome! I still have 6 (I didn’t realize there were two varieties in a bag) blueberry bushes to plant. I’m really pumped!

{Collecting Rainbows} A Year Of Candles

These candles are perfect for the start of a new year. I love the idea of focusing on one virtue a month and burning a beautifully colorful candle to remind ourselves. Like our Month of Thanks. The cute thing about these Year of Candles ($90) is that once the candle is through burning, a little pocket charm is revealed to remind you for the rest of the year. How cute is that!

{Collecting Rainbows} Tube Doorstop

With the holidays and year coming to an end, I’m finally trying to unpack and plan our home more. I still have a few design decisions to make for my soon-to-be studio/craft room. These tube door stops ($13.50) would be super cute as an indicator of what’s inside.

{Collecting Rainbows} Rainbow Chopsticks

One of things I get most excited about during the holidays besides spending time with loved ones is my mom’s cooking back in my hometown. It’s so fun to go a couple of days early to help her prep for the celebration dinner. I’m looking forward to these celebrations in our new home some day and I’d love to have a set of these rainbow chopsticks ($35) so that guests can pick their own pair to use throughout the night.

{Collecting Rainbows} Turkish Bath Towels

These Turkish bath towels ($50) were so beautiful I thought they were blankets. I’d love to have these lined up for guests to pick their favorite color for their stay. If you like these towels, you might also enjoy the {Collecting Rainbows} bath edition post.

{Collecting Rainbows} House Salt & Pepper Shakers

Little houses always draw me in. I don’t know if it’s because I was always trying to find someone to play monopoly with as a kid or just because they’re cute. I love these little house salt and pepper shakers ($8) because they’re colorful and make a small street when lined up! Very cute for a christmas or hostess gift!

{Collecting Rainbows} One Trip Grip Handles

I’ve been slowly trying to get used to cooking more now that I actually have room to groove. I’ve also been trying to catch tips on saving money on groceries since there are some projects around the house I want to save up for. One tip I’ve heard is making just one trip to the supermarket a month. This cuts down on impulse buys and buying without planning. I love being efficient (industrial engineer in me) so these one trip grip handles ($5) would come in super handy for bringing in all my reusable bags from my trunk to the kitchen. These will also be extra handy if you’re a Black Friday shopper!
